The Problem: The target audience are men ages 28-45 with household incomes of 50k+. They are motivated by savings, convenience, and style when buying sweaters for themselves. The purpose is to drive foot traffic to local Macy’s stores during the Macy’s Men’s Fall Sweater Event, September 8-10. The secondary CTA is for these men to purchase sweaters.

The Solution: Since the target audience is motivated by savings, I made sure to include the savings early on in the Subject Line and Headline. I created a sense of urgency by making it clear the savings are only for 3 days in the Snippet, Subheading, and final CTA at the bottom. To cater to the target group’s desire for savings and style, I wrote copy that speaks to the long-lasting versatility of the sweaters for all occasions.
